Junui Park kept Solite Indigo Racing on top of the times in the second TCR Europe free practice session at the Red Bull Ring, after his team-mate Junesung Park had earlier topped the first session.
Park lapped in 1 minute 37.209 seconds to post the fastest time of the day, 0.168 seconds ahead of MM Motorsport’s Marco Butti, after posting a brace of quick laps at the end of the session.
The top five in second practice all lapped quicker than the top time set by Junesung Park earlier in the day, demonstrating how the track was faster in the late afternoon Austrian sun.
PMA Motorsport’s Nicolas Taylor was the fastest Audi racer in third, three tenths off the pace.
Ruben Volt was the quickest Honda driver for ALM Motorsport in fourth, having briefly held the top time seven minutes into the session before being usurped.
MA:GP’s Viktor Andersson put his Lynk & Co in fifth, ahead of series rookie René Kircher in the second ALM Honda in sixth.
Jimmy Clairet was seventh, ahead of fellow Audi racer Nicola Baldan in eighth. The top ten was completed by the MM Motorsport Honda of Jacopo Cimenes and Julien Briché’s Hyundai, the latter the only other Elantra driver inside the top ten.
First practice pace-setter Junesung Park was only 15th fastest in the second session, just under a second slower than his team-mate.
Qualifying is scheduled to take place at 09:50 CEST (08:50 BST) on Saturday morning.
