Horňák-Aditis enters two Audis for Groszek and Čížek

Czech team Horňák-Aditis will enter two Audi RS3 LMS cars for next weekend’s TCR Europe races at Monza, with Polish racer Bartosz Groszek and Czech Petr Čížek joining the grid.

The team is a regular in the TCR Eastern Europe series, where it has competed since 2019, initially running an Audi RS3 for Radim Adámek in 2019 and 2020 before expanding to run two cars in 2021.

Whilst Adámek has continued as a regular driver in TCR Eastern Europe in 2021, he was joined by Petr Fulín Jr for the first round at the Hungaroring and Miro Horňák in the second event at the Slovakiaring.

Since the third event, the second car has been raced by 24-year-old Groszek, who won on his début at Tor Poznaň in Poland.

Groszek, who had won the TCR Eastern Europe Sim Racing title in 2020, continued his form for the rest of 2021, finishing on the podium in all of the remaining races to end the year fourth overall in the drivers’ standings, despite missing the first two events.

Čížek, 45, first raced touring cars in the 2017 Europpean Touring Car Cup, and then took part in TCR Eastern Europe since 2019, initially in a CUPRA TCR, ending the year fourth overall, followed by 16th in 2020.

This year, Čížek switched to a new CUPRA Leon Competición, ending the year eighth overall after claiming one podium finish in the season-ending event in Brno.
