The calendar for the 2024 TCR Australia series has been revealed, featuring seven events from February to November, kicking off with the season opener at Sandown on the second weekend in February.
The announcement of the calendar for the fifth season of the Australian series was made on the grid of the opening race at Mount Panorama, where the series is sharing the bill with the TCR World Tour.
The series will continue to race exclusively with the domestic Shannons SpeedSeries in 2024.
The most notable difference compared to the current season is the replacement of a round at Winton with the return of The Bend Motorsport Park, a circuit which featured last in the inaugural season in 2019.
For the first time since 2019, the season will not get underway at Symmons Plains – instead the season opener will be held at Sandown on 9 – 11 February.
Symmons Plains thus gets the second event for Race Tasmania, on 15 – 17 March, followed by a return to Phillip Island – a mainstay on the series calendar – on 12 – 14 April.
The Bend returns to the calendar for the fourth event on 24 – 26 May, before a break of just under two months prior to the fifth event at Queensland Raceway on 12 – 14 July.
A long three and a half month break then follows, before the season concludes in quick succession with rounds at Sydney Motorsport Park on 1 – 3 November and Bathurst on 8 – 10 November.
