Jake Hill won from fourth place to close out his 2023 season bringing home a place on the top step for MB Motorsport.
Hill managed to avoid all the incidents left, right and centre to bring home his sixth victory of the season. The #24 car took the lead with an unbelievable move as he went three wide on the run up to Sheene Curve.
Behind was both drivers Hill went side-by-side with and Josh Cook headed the pair. Cook initially had two laps of side-by-side action himself to get to front but in the end did not have the pace of Hill once the BMW got through.
The man that Cook was fighting with from the early moments was polesitter Stephen Jelley. The three were all on the soft tyre and had the better grip compared to the drivers around them.
There was over a two second gap back to Tom Ingram. The EXCELR8 driver had a coming together with champion Ash Sutton on the run up to Surtees. The champion had to pit before recovering to 13th whereas Ingram held on to fourth.
Dan Rowbottom provisionally holds fifth place after he is under investigation for a start infringement. In the end coming across the line in relative no mans land for race three with his closest gap being 1.324 seconds.
Ricky Collard brought his Toyota Gazoo Racing UK car home to a sixth place finish. Collard had been consistent across the weekend bringing forward the pace for the team. At the end of the race holding on to the driver behind.
That driver was Dan Lloyd who finished only 0.963 seconds behind. Lloyd was another who charged forward after starting from 10th. The Cupra driver was a part of the tight queue that formed behind Collard.
The next in line is Adam Morgan who managed to make some late gains to move himself forward. Most notably with a lunge up the inside of Dan Cammish on the second to last lap that would see Cammish all to ninth after a seventh place start.
Colin Turkington rounded out the top 10 with a great performance bringing the car from 25th on the grid. Ash Sutton would finish off his record-breaking season returning to 13th after rejoining the race in 20th.
