TCR Italy title contender Marco Butti will take part in this weekend’s TCR World Tour event at Vallelunga, where he will race a third Hyundai Elantrea N TCR entered by BRC Racing.
Butti, 18, made his TCR début in the series in 2021, in ageing Volkswagen Golf machinery.
Last year he graduated to competing in TCR Europe in a second-generation Audi RS3, and also made a one-off appearance in TCR Germany in the car. He also entered one round of TCR Italy in a Hyundai i30.
For 2023 he has signed with Target Competition and already made a strong start, picking up his first race win in the season opener at Imola and he currently sits second in the drivers’ standings after two events.
Butti will be team-mates to Norbert Michelisz and Mikel Azcona this weekend, giving the Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing Junior Driver a great opportunity to learn from the factory-backed drivers.

Team Principal of BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse Gabriele Rizzo said Butti’s participation was part of the manufacturer’s Junior Driver commitment.
