TCR UK competitors Bruce Winfield and Carl Broadley took a win a piece during an incident-filled day at Oulton Park on Saturday.
Area Motorsport’s Winfield won round five after passing teammate Alex Ley in the second half of the race. Ley got the jump on polesitter Winfield as the lights turned green however Winfield’s pace advantage was clear, securing the fastest lap on route to victory.
Second place fell to Rob Boston Racing’s Jac Constable. Constable passed Ley coming out of Lodge on the last lap after Ley had locked up yet again as he attempted to hold on to second. Ley ultimately brought his Hyundai i30 N TCR home in third place.
Dropping back from the main pack in his attempts to keep Carl Boardley at bay, Chris Smiley secured fourth place across the line in the Restart Racing Honda.
Due to Boardley receiving track limits penalties for three separate indiscretions while attempting to muscle a way past Smiley, Adam Shepherd completed the top five, with Boardley ultimately classified in tenth after 15 seconds worht of penalties were applied.

Race two was incident-packed as two safety cars were deployed however Boardley managed to resist his pursuers to take his maiden TCR UK victory.
After starting from pole, Boardley led all the way to the flag even after persistent challenges from the Vauxhall Astra TCR of Darelle Wilson.
Two safety cars were scrambled which did Boardley no favours, firstly to remove Callum Newsham’s Hyundai which had dropped out of the running on the formation lap. Then Ley made heavy contact with the tyre bale at the Knickerbrook chicane. With the teenager’s car stranded with broken suspension, the yellow flags were out once more.
However, Wilson himself had to resist MPHR’s Bradley Hutchison so his challenge for the lead was entirely academic. In the end, Hutchison was destined to finish on the last step of the podium.
Even though Jenson Brickley suffered contact with Audi of Joe Marshall when disputing fourth place, Brickley survived the encounter to finish just off the podium. The top five were rounded off again by Shepherd.
