Dan Cammish earns his first British Touring Car Championship pole position of the season by just 0.017s.
Cammish knocked Josh Cook off the top spot with a time of 1:15.303 in the final six minutes of qualifying.
There were few improvements elsewhere late in the session and none would topple Cammish’s time, allowing him to record his first pole since September 2020.
Cook set the pace early on, but Cammish was never too far behind. The pair stayed at the top of the order throughout the session, comfortably clear of the rest of the field. When Cammish jumped past Cook in the timings, there was little Cook could do in answer, and had to settle for second.
Cook was still almost three tenths of a second clear of Jake Hill in P3.
Hill and Ash Sutton spent most of qualifying swapping P3 between them. Hill came out on top by just 0.001s.
Gordon Shedden took fifth ahead of Ash Hand and Michael Crees. Dan Rowbottom, Tom Chilton and Ricky Collard completed the top 10.
A number of drivers had offs throughout the session, though none met the barrier. Colin Turkington had a number of laps ruined after running wide through the dirt, and his best clean lap was only enough fo P15. Cook, George Gamble and Nic Hamilton were among those who also had off track excersions.
The only on track stoppage came from series returnee Tom Oliphant, who came to a stop off track after an apparent mechanical issue. The incident did not disrupt running for the rest of the field.
Second in the championship Tom Ingram placed P13, behind Jason Plato and Rory Butcher.
