René Kircher will contest a third successive season in the ADAC TCR Germany series, continuing to race a Volkswagen Golf GTi TCR for Volkswagen Team Oettinger.
Kircher joined TCR Germany in 2019, when he raced an Audi for the racing one outfit. He switched to Volkswagen machinery last year, once again finishing all races bar one but failing to emulate the podium finish he recorded in his first season.
Along with Lithuanian racer Dziugas Tovilavicius, Kircher was one of only two drivers to race a full year in a Golf in the series last year.
“I’m delighted to announce my return to the ADAC TCR Germany in 2021 with Volkswagen Team Oettinger,” said Kircher, who recorded a best finish of fourth on one occasion in 2020.
“I wish to thank all my partners that continue to support me in this programme.”
