Team BMW reveals new livery ahead of 2021 BTCC season

Team BMW has taken the covers off its 2021 British Touring Car Championship livery, which will adorn the cars of Colin Turkington, Tom Oliphant and Stephen Jelley this year.

Revealing the black colour scheme at the team’s headquarters in Surrey, the WSR-built cars will continue to sport the iconic colours of BMW M on top of the matt-black base.

Team BMW is aiming to defend its manufacturers’ title in 2021, having claimed the title for a record-breaking fifth consecutive season in 2020.

Turkington, meanwhile, is aiming to reclaim his drivers’ championship crown, after losing out on the 2020 title to Ash Sutton.

All three cars will take to the track with the new livery for the first time on 23 March 2021, with pre-season testing over two days at the Kent circuit.

“It’s been an intensive winter for WSR and Team BMW, but despite the 2020 season concluding a month later than we’re used to, we’ve still been able to work through a comprehensive development programme for the BMW 330i M Sport,” said Team Principal Dick Bennetts.

“We began our 2021 test programme at Silverstone last week and were pleased to see that most of the upgrades we’ve added to the car have had the desired effect.

“The new livery, created by Nick Moss Designs, looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see all three cars in formation when we continue our pre-season testing at Brands Hatch next week.”
