Serbian driver Nikola Miljković will join the TCR Europe field for this weekend’s season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, racing a CUPRA for LEIN Racing.
Miljković, 23, has previously raced in hillclimbing series in Serbia, where he took the 2013 Central European Zone title at the wheel of a Honda Civic in the N2000 class.
In 2016 he was the FIA European hillclimbing champion of the N/R1 class at the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.
He had planned to enter the European Touring Car Cup in 2015, but the entry failed to materialise after a rule change which prohibited the participation of the then older-spec SEAT León Supercopa cars, which Miljković had purchased during the off-season.
Miljković’s entry further adds to the entry list for the finale, which could reach 30 cars. TouringCars.Net understands that at least three more cars from one of the leading Scandinavian teams are set to enter the event.
