Portuguese team Sports & You will add a second Peugeot 308 for this weekend’s TCR Europe season finale in Barcelona, with Enrique Hernando Alonso joining Francisco Abreu in the team.
Abreu has contested the full season, but the team have run just the one car so far. Now young Spaniard Alonso will join the team for the finale in Catalunya, joining a bumper grid for the last event of the year.
The 23-year-old has previously raced in the Campeonato de España Resistencia, finishing as the runner-up in Division 5 in 2016 before taking the Division 3 title last year.
So far this year he has raced a Peugeot 308 Racing Cup car in the same series, before switching to a TCR-spec Peugeot for the most recent event at Jarama, where he shared the car with Gonzalo de Andres on his way to victory.
He will now take the TCR-spec car to Barcelona for his international racing début.
