Josh Price returns to TCR UK for Donington finale

Josh Price will return to the TCR UK series for the season finale at Donington Park next weekend, having previously contested the events at Knockhill and Brands Hatch earlier in the year.

Price will re-join the field in his FK2-spec Honda Civic, looking to emulate the double podium finish which he secured on his first foray into the series in Scotland.

The 19-year-old started the season racing in the BTCC but was left without a drive after Team BMR reduced to a two-car operation at the halfway stage of the season.

“It’s a shame that I couldn’t continue to build on the results I had from Knockhill at Brands Hatch, and it was unfortunate I couldn’t commit to doing the full season,” said Price.

“I’ve been interested in TCR UK ever since the championship was announced and so it’ll be great to end my 2018 season at Donington – I’ve had mixed fortunes there in the past, but I think I can end the year on a high.

“I want to wish both Dan [Lloyd] and Ollie [Taylor] the best of luck as they go head to head for the title and hopefully I’ll have one of the best seats in the house from which to watch the battle.

“I’ll be concentrating on getting a good result and I can then sit down and weigh up my options for 2019.”

Price has already admitted that he is interested in continuing in TCR in the future, with an entry into the TCR Europe series also understood to be a possibility for the youngster.
