Dan Cammish left frustrated after traffic hinders qualifying efforts

Halfords Yuasa Racing’s Dan Cammish was left frustrated after traffic hindered his quickest efforts in qualifying for the British Touring Car Championship triple header at Rockingham today [12th August].

Cammish was able to clock a fastest time of 1:23.086 seconds around the 1.94 mile International Sports Car Circuit – quicker than last season’s pole position time – and will head up the second row in third.

Pole position, meanwhile, went the way of Ciceley Motorsport’s Adam Morgan after his late effort denied Motorbase’s Sam Tordoff.

“I’m not sure what else I can do! Every time I tried a lap I was caught in traffic, I may as well have been on the M1 and I was just tearing my hair out by the end,” said Cammish.

“We’ve got a fast race-car and I’ll make it count [today]. Unfortunately it unravelled around us a bit but I can only do what I can do.”

The opening race of the weekend is scheduled to start at 11:35 BST.
