Dan Welch will return to the British Touring Car Championship this weekend, racing a Volkswagen CC for Team HARD after a year and a half away from the championship.
Welch previously competed in the BTCC between 2011 and 2016, racing Proton machinery for his own team before sitting out the 2017 season and the first half of 2018.
Following a test with Team HARD at Snetterton earlier in the month, Welch has now been confirmed to replace the departing Jake Hill, getting behind the wheel of a #17 CC.

The Hampshire Racer will carry 45 kg of success ballast on his return to the championship at the Norfolk circuit, as per the BTCC regulations.
