Michelisz given grid penalty for race one crash with Muller

Norbert Michelisz has been deemed to be at fault for the crash with Yvan Muller in the opening FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) race at Zandvoort and has been handed a ten-place grid penalty for race two.

Muller and Michelisz controversially came together at Turn 3 of the race, with Muller ending up atop the crash barriers as both drivers retired.

The duo reported to the stewards after the race, and the stewards sided with Muller, handing Michelisz a ten-place drop for Monday’s second race.
