2012 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters champion Bruno Spengler was fastest of all 11 drivers taking part in the penultimate day of the final ITR pre-season test at Hockenheim.

The Team RBM driver was fastest in the morning’s session, with Team RMG’s Augusto Farfus providing the best effort in the afternoon, leading a Munich 1-2-3.

Spengler posted a 1:32.089 in the morning, with Audi Sport’s Robin Frijns second quickest, just 0.045 seconds off the pace set. The Dutchman would be one of two that would only take part in the morning, the other being Mercedes’ Daniel Juncadella in seventh.

The returning Pascal Wehrlen was third fastest overall, which saw the top three split by 0.080 seconds, ahead of Farfus and two-time champion Marco Wittmann.

Audi Sport Team Phoenix’s Mike Rockenfeller rounded out the top six, just under two tenths off the pace set by Spengler, whilst Ingolstadt stablemate Jamie Green was eighth, 0.716 seconds off Juncadella.

Austria’s Lucas Auer was ninth fastest, whilst Nico Müller and Paul Di Resta, who tested only during the aftenroon, completed the timesheets, with all drivers seperated by 1.398 seconds.
