Lukas Niedertscheider will race a Peugeot 308 TCR in his second season in the ADAC TCR Germany series in 2018, bringing a seventh brand to the strong national series.
Niedertscheider made his début in TCR Germany in 2017, racing a SEAT León TCR for the family team. Now the 23-year-old Austrian will switch to a brand new Peugeot TCR car in 2018.
“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season and my new car,” said Niedertscheider. “After getting to know the racetracks and the environment of the ADAC TCR Germany very well last year, I’m confident that I can turn those experiences into good results in the 2018 season.
“My expectations for the new Peugeot 308 TCR are naturally high.”
Team boss of Niedertscheider Motorsport, Martin Niedertscheider, added that the team had opted to move to the French manufacturer due to a long-standing relationship:
“Due to our long association with the Peugeot brand, we are very proud that we can use the Peugeot 308 TCR,” added Martin, who stepped in for his son Lukas at the TCR Germany series opener in 2017.
The first round of the 2018 TCR Germany series will take place at Oschersleben on 14-15 April.
