Trio of Swiss juniors to join TCR Germany grid for remaining events

Swiss racers Orhan Vouilloz, Oliver Holdener and Gustavo Xavier will join the ADAC TCR Germany Series for the final three events of the season, each racing on a different weekend in a SEAT León for Topcar Sport.

The young drivers are part of the ‘AutoScout24 Young Driver Challenge’ which is powered by SEAT and the three drivers are the finalists as part of the programme.

Now all three will be able to make their TCR Germany début with the Swiss Topcar team, under the supervision of Team Principal Ruedi Jost.

“It is a novelty in my motorsport career,” explained Jost. “I am delighted to see the commitment of autoScout24 and SEAT Switzerland – it is a pleasure for us at TOPCAR Sport GmbH to train younger racers.”

TOPCAR already field SEAT cars for Jost’s 29-year-old son Ronny and 19-year-old Rudolf Rhyn in the TCR Germany series.

20-year-old Xavier will be the first to make his début this weekend at the Nürburgring, whilst 20-year-old Holdener will race at the Sachsenring and 21-year-old Vouilloz will take the wheel at the season finale at the Hockenheimring.

Christoph Aebi, Director of AutoScout24, is pleased to be able to support the young racers in the early days of their motorsport careers.

“We are very pleased to be able to compete with the young drivers when they take part in the ADAC TCR Germany races in August and September,” said Aebi. “At the moment, the drivers have been preparing intensively for the past few months.”

The three drivers will have their race weekends assessed by former WTCC driver Fredy Barth and current Audi DTM racer Nico Müller.

The eventual winner will be awarded prize money and support for the following racing season.
