Michaël Mazuin Sport will field a Volkswagen Golf GTi for Maxime Potty in this weekend’s TCR International Series races at Spa-Francorchamps, with technical assistance coming from WRT.
The Belgian team currently compete in the TCR Benelux series with a car for Potty and Mathieu Detry.
The 17-year-old will make his début in the international series thanks to the ease with which local drivers can enter the top level of the touring car category.
Potty only stepped up to car racing in 2016 and immediately impressed, finishing tenth overall in last year’s TCR Benelux championship including one win at Colmarberg.
Potty secured a podium finish in the most recent TCR Benelux race, also held at Spa, impressively coming through the field from the very back of the grid.
