Aron Taylor-Smith is looking forward to maximising his preparations prior to race weekends during this years British Touring Car Championship.

Taylor-Smith, who enjoyed a positive campaign with fledgling outfit Team BKR including a controlled reverse grid victory at Rockingham, was recently unveiled as a works MG driver alongside Daniel Lloyd.

“Fitness is obviously crucially important, but now BMR have got in place a simulator and a few other bits that we didn’t have in place at the start of last season.” he explained to TouringCars.net

“I can do a lot more work before we go to a race weekend to hopefully up my game and learn even more. It’s a case where we make the most of it. We’ll get to testing relatively soon and then see where we are come Brands.”

He also paid tribute to Nico Ferrari and Team BKR for their role in his success last season, which included a further two podium finishes alongside his win.

“It’s nice to have come back last year and validated how good we can be, and it’s really thanks to Nico [Ferrari] and everyone at Team BKR for what we achieved.”
