The only notable absentee was that of Mattias Ekström, who was in Argentina for the final round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.

The only change will be that of Nico Müller and Adrien Tambay swapping teams for the forthcoming season. Timo Scheider is still being retained as one of the three champions in the team, remaining at Ernest Moser’s Team Phoenix outfit, alongisde Mike Rockenfeller.

Müller now moves to Team Abt Sportsline with Esktröm, Miguel Molina and Edoardo Mortara, whilst Tambay, who made his DTM debut back in 2012, will now partner up with 2015 series runner-up Jamie Green.

Antonio Giovinazzi, who replaced Scheider for the round at Moscow Raceway, will not be racing for the brand next year, but will be taking part in the fortchoming test at Jerez de la Frontera, alongside several young drivers.

Indy Lights and Formula E driver Matthew Brabham, GP2’s Mitch Evans and Arthur Pic, Britain’s Ben Hanley and Spain’s Alex Palou will also head to the 4.428km track, being coached by both Ekström and Molina.
