Second practice for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) at Oschersleben saw Bruno Spengler fastest after a shortened 25-minute session, following extensive delays due to low-lying fog.
The Team MTEK driver posted a 1:20.163 around the 3.696km track, in conditions that were damp to start off with. He was 0.069 seconds faster than first practice pace setter Augusto Farfus, with Maxime Martin rounding out the top three.
It was another strong showing from BMW, as António Félix da Costa took fourth, with Timo Glock making it five M4 DTMs in the top ten with seventh.
Despite the track evolving, Robert Wickens and Mattias Ekström had off-track excursions before the half way point, with drivers opting for new tyres around the ten-minute mark.
The current points leader admitted the following via the official Audi Sport twitter feed, which saw him go off track through the grass and gravel:

The Swede would end up 23rd fastest, 0.964 seconds fastest from Spengler, as Ekström’s title rivals, Pascal Wehrlein, Edoardo Mortara and Jamie Green placing fifth, 14th and ninth respectively.
Along with Green, the returning Timo Scheider made it two Audis in the top ten, taking tenth from Marco Wittmann by just 0.007 seconds.
Gary Paffett was the fastest of the Brits, taking sixth place, with Daniel Juncadella making it three Stuttgart drivers in the top ten, as the Spaniard took eighth.
