The TCR International Series this week completed a successful Balance of Performance (BOP) test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.
Experienced touring car racer Nicola Larini put the SEAT León Racer, Honda Civic TCR and Opel Astra OPC through their paces in a range of setup configurations, before passing on feedback to the TCR Series’ Technical Director Andreas Bellu and Technical Delegate Knut Wartenberg.
Ford were not present at the test as originally planned, with the Onyx Engineering squad set to complete a shakedown of their new Focus later in the week. Its performance will be evaluated at a later date, before being transported to the opening round of the championship in Malaysia at the end of the month.
TCR confirmed that a full set of BOP specifications will be finalized and announced in the coming days.
