Andrew Jordan looking for return of 2013 form

Andrew Jordan hopes his strong form at Rockingham in 2013 will stand him in good stead as the British Touring Car Championship returns to the Northamptonshire circuit this weekend.

The reigning champion suffered another disappointing weekend last time out at Knockhill, where contact in race one with Gordon Shedden means he heads to Rockingham 92 points behind Colin Turkington – in fifth place in the championship – and with his ambitions of retaining the title effectively over.

But as the BTCC heads back into England after its trip north of the border, the Pirtek Racing driver expects that Rockingham, where he won twice last season, will mark something of a reversal of his recent fortunes, having gone six races without a podium finish.

Those two victories, coupled with problems for Matt Neal, went a long way to securing Jordan his maiden series title, and while his hopes of a second championship appear to have diminished significantly heading into the weekend, the 25-year-old was still confident of a good showing.

“The BMWs will be very strong at Rockingham,” insisted Jordan. “They are now very quick through the fast corners as well as the stop-start sections. But we had two wins there last year so our car should be very good. I’ll just drive like I did at Knockhill and see where we can get to!”

  1. I used to watch all BTCC races in full length. But the last BTCC races I’ve seen were live
at Snetterton while on holiday in Norfolk.

Since this summer Toca managed to ban all BTCC content from YouTube. As a BTCC fan from the continent, I can only watch the races through the official BTCC YouTube
channel: 3 races cramped into a mere 7 minutes and a hand full of seconds.

Any ideas how I can still enjoy BTCC? Or do I have to inform BTCC that they’ve lost a
    fan?
