Morgan looking for better form at Croft

WIX Racing’s Adam Morgan is looking for a weekend of consistency at Croft, as he aims to get his British Touring Car Championship campaign back on track after a difficult meeting at Oulton Park.

A difficult qualifying session at the Cheshire circuit last time out left Morgan with ground to make up, and despite being one of the few drivers to have perfected overtaking moves throughout every race, the weekend marked the first time in 2014 that he failed to secure a point in any of the three races.

And the 25-year-old was disappointed with his meeting, which fell well short of the expectations that he and his team had set out.

“We made things really difficult for ourselves at the last round. I was really disappointed with the weekend following our brilliant start to the season,” said Morgan. “We set a team goal of finishing in the top ten with the new WIX Racing Mercedes A Class, a massive ask in our first season with the new car, but things were and are moving along nicely.

But the Mercedes A-Class driver was optimistic about his chances of cracking the top ten at Croft this weekend, hoping to end the first half of the season on a high as the series’ summer break draws ever closer.

“I love Croft it’s fast and technical. I am going all out for a top result.” continued Morgan. “We want to be back in the top ten, the summer break begins after this round and momentum is everything. I took my first ever win at Croft and I am confident of a positive weekend for me and the WIX Racing team.”
