Dušan Borkovic excluded from qualifying

Dušan Borković has lost his World Touring Car Championship race two pole position at the Hungaroring after his car failed the post-qualifying ride-height check.

Serb Borković had originally posted the tenth fastest time which would have given him pole position for race two. However his car was found to be running too low to the ground and he has subsequently had all of his times from Q1 and Q2 disallowed, leaving him to start both races from the back of the grid.

Borković’s exclusion from the qualifying results hands race two pole position to Campos Racing team-mate Hugo Valente, who will have Gianni Morbidelli starting alongside him on the front row of the grid.

Borković confirmed that the team will appeal the stewards decision.
