China Dragon Racing double for Macau

Photo by FIA WTCC MediaChina Dragon Racing will expand to field four cars in the World Touring Car Championship finale in Macau in November, fielding an additional pair of Chevrolet Lacetti’s alongside their current pair of Chevrolet Cruzes.

The WTCC’s only Chinese team, who are based in Hong Kong, will run a pair of Lacettis for Célio Alves Dias and Lam Kan San around the Macanese street circuit. For Dias it marks his second participation in a WTCC event, whilst for Lam it will be his début in the WTCC. Despite this, both drivers have a wealth of experience around the Circuito da Guia.

The tesm are currently fielding a pair of normally-aspirated Chevrolet Cruze LT’s for Macanese racers Filipe Clemente de Souza and Ng Kin Veng, who made their first appearance of the 2013 season last time out at the Japanese round.

It marks the first time that the top Chinese team have run four cars at a WTCC event, having made their début in 2009 with Lei Kit Meng.
