Howard Fuller to race for Team HARD

Howard Fuller will drive the second Team HARD. Vauxhall Insignia in the British Touring Car Championship, after it was announced that he would drive at the upcoming Rockingham and Silverstone rounds.

After a busy couple of days at the team, the announcement means Fuller will partner Jack Goff in the squad, after it was confirmed that he would return for the final three rounds of the championship after sitting out the visit to Knockhill in August.

The move will mark a return to both the series and the team for Fuller, 21, after he made his debut last year in a Honda Civic at Rockingham, where he took a best result of twelfth place, before scoring an eleventh place at Silverstone.

“My career seems to have a lot of links with Rockingham,” Fuller said, speaking to BTCC.net. “I won my first VW Cup race there and also made my BTCC debut there – now I’m going back to make my first BTCC appearance this season. I have good memories of the circuit and I’m really looking forward to it.”

And having tested the machine at the series’ tyre test at Snetterton back in July, Fuller was confident that he would be up to speed when he makes his return to the series.

“I had a little run in the car at Snetterton so at least I won’t be completely new to it when free practice gets underway next week.

“We know the car is good – I’ve obviously seen the progress Jack Goff has made with it but also having been close with the team during the build process of the cars and throughout the course of this year I know how hard everyone has worked.”
