Nikolay Karamyshev planning WTCC outing

Current European Touring Car Cup driver Russian Nikolay Karamyshev is planning to make his World Touring Car Championship début in Russia at the wheel of a SEAT León, it has been reported.

Karamyshev, 24, has been competing in the 2013 European Touring Car Cup in the single-make trophy for ex SEAT León Supercopa cars. The young Russian took a class victory at Monza at the start of the season and is currently joint second in the standings.

It is understood that the plans involve making his début for Campos Racing at the first-ever Russian round of the WTCC at the Moscow Raceway in June, followed by the street race event in Portugal later in the month.
