Huff is the lap record holder at Monza and the British driver is confident that the team can challenge at the front of the field in their SEAT Leon 1.6T while the qualifying lap record was set by a SEAT Leon with Gabriele Tarquini.

“I am certain that we can achieve that this season,” adds Huff, whose lap record stands at 1:59.000 from March last year.

Team Manager at Munnich Motorsport, Basseng, admits that the team have still got a lot to learn but is confident heading to Italy that the package will be strong.

“Of course, we are new at the WTCC and still have to gather a lot of experience here, but we will do everything to be at the front of the field in Monza already,” Basseng said.

“Thanks to the support by SEAT Sport we have three competitive cars on start. And we hope that Rob Huff can bring us forward with his experience. “
