Herrero Racing’s Victor Weyrich concluded TCR Europe’s Friday practice day with the top time, lapping Circuit Paul Ricard less than a tenth of a second quicker than BRC Racing’s Gabriele Covini.
Weyrich’s time of 2 minutes 11.591 seconds was two tenths quicker than Viktor Andersson had been in the earlier morning session, and gave the CUPRA driver the top time, having been third earlier in the day.
Covini was the top Hyundai driver, just 0.035 seconds behind, whilst PMA Motorsport’s Nicola Baldan, who had been second earlier on, remained in the mix, a mere 0.002 seconds further back.
Mike Halder took over as the top Honda driver, the ALM Motorsport driver in fourth, 0.143 seconds adrift, ahead of BRC Racing’s Alex Ley in fifth.
Solite Indiog Racing’s Junui Park was sixth, ahead of RC2 Racing Team’s Felipe Fernández Gil in seventh.
PMA’s Nicolas Taylor was eighth, whilst the top ten was completed by Squadra Martion’s Tiago Pernía and Monlau Motorsport’s first practice pace-setter Viktor Andersson.
Qualifying is scheduled to get underway at 09:00 CEST (08:00 BST) on Saturday morning.
