Harry Bloor joins DTR for TCR UK stay

Harry Bloor will return to the TCR UK championship in 2026 as the young racer joins new team DTR to race one of its Honda Civic Type-R FL5 cars.

Bloor made his TCR début at the start of the 2025 season when he raced a Hyundai i30 N TCR for Power Maxed Racing, before switching to Vannin Motorsport to drive a CUPRA Leon in the second half of the season when his Hyundai was destroyed in the fire at Power Maxed Racing.

Bloor scored a best finish of fifth in the second race at Croft in June and ultimately ended the season 11th overall in the drivers’ standings.

The team are planning a ‘comprehensive testing programme’ ahead of the 2026 season.

“I’m really excited to be returning to TCR UK with DTR,” said Bloor. “Last year was all about learning, coming straight from karts into touring cars, and I feel like I made good progress as the season went on. Getting a P5 at Croft was a real highlight and showed what we’re capable of.

“Having the support of JAS Motorsport is fantastic and gives us real confidence in the programme, and with a new car and a proper testing plan in place, I’m looking forward to building on what we started and continuing to move forward.”

DTR Team Principal Darryl Taplin is looking forward to working with Bloor as he continues to develop as a driver.

“We’re really happy to have Harry on board for the upcoming TCR UK season,” added Taplin. “He showed a lot of promise during his rookie year and impressed with how quickly he adapted to different TCR cars.

“This programme is all about development and progression, and we’re excited about the future and looking forward to working closely with Harry as he continues to grow as a driver.”

Championship Manager Jack Finlan added: “It’s great to see Harry back in TCR UK and stepping into a new programme with JAS Motorsport.

“Coming from karting and already gaining experience across different TCR machinery, this is an exciting opportunity for him to continue his development.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing how everything comes together for Harry as the season progresses.”
