TCR Australia will take place entirely on circuits owned by Peregrine Corporation in 2026, with five events across two circuits: The Bend Motorsport Park and Mallala Motorsport Park.
Effectively having a hiatus in 2025, as TCR Australia only contested two rounds together with the FIA TCR World Tour, the series is planned for a national revival in 2026 under the management of The Bend.
Exact details of the five-round calendar have yet to be published, other than the fact that the series will take place only at The Bend Motorsport Park and Mallala Motorsport Park, utilising multiple circuit configurations across both venues and headlining The Bend’s Championship Series. The full 2026 TCR Australia calendar will be published on 10 December 2025.
Competitors in TCR Australia will receive dedicated pitlane garages, “premium hospitality” and on-site accommodation as part of a low entry fee. All events will be livestreamed for free, and spectator entry to every event at The Bend will also be free.
“We are committed to the motorsport industry, and we also believe that we share the responsibility of promoting categories that support aspiring motorsport enthusiasts,” explained The Bend Managing Director Sam Shahin.
“TCR is a global category that deserves its rightful place in Australian motorsport. Our involvement is a testimony to the category, the brands it represents, and the teams and drivers that see it as a pathway to World TCR abroad, or a pathway to other categories in Australia.”
Alistair MacDonald, CEO of The Bend Motorsport Park, is keen to revitalise the category in Australia.
“South Australia has proven itself to be a true motorsport state,” added MacDonald. “To now call South Australia the home of a domestic touring car championship like TCR Australia is a tremendous privilege, and we’re determined to make the series an envy to the rest of the country for competitors, partners and fans alike.”
WSC President Marcello Lotti added: “The Bend is a world class facility with world class reputation. We are thrilled to work with Motorsport Australia and The Bend to deliver TCR Australia in 2026. We hope to build on this relationship in the future.”
Motorsport Australia is supporting the new arrangement, and its General Manager for Motorsport Operations, David Stuart, praised the work of all parties involved.
“Motorsport Australia welcomes the partnership, highlighting the professionalism and high-standard event delivery that The Bend and WSC have historically delivered,” added Stuart.
“Motorsport Australia has worked closely with WSC and The Bend to ensure that TCR has the right framework and support to succeed in Australia. The 2026 season will build the foundation for growth in the years ahead.”
