Max Hart to dovetail TCR Europe campaign with TCR UK entry

Max Hart has confirmed he will also return to TCR UK for the 2026 season, racing a Honda Civic Type-R FL5 for Hall’s Racing alongside his full-season entry in TCR Europe.

The Irishman confirmed last week that he would race for ALM Motorsport in TCR Europe, continuing in the series for a second successive season whilst switching to Honda machinery as a JAS Motorsport Supported Driver.

Hart, 24, made his TCR début back in 2020 when he competed in TCR UK when it was part of the Touring Car Trophy. He continued in the series for a further two years, winning a total of four races in the series, before moving to TCR China in 2023 in Hyundai machinery.

Hart continued racing in Asia in 2024, being in contention for the TCR Asia title until the end of the season, before moving to TCR Europe in 2025 with Target Competition.

Hart won one race in TCR Europe last year and finished eighth overall in the drivers’ standings.

His return to TCR UK in Honda machinery means there will be at least four Honda Civic Type-R FL5s on the grid this year, with Hart being team-mate to the already-announced Max Hall.

“I’m super excited to be racing in TCR UK this year, as a JAS Supported driver, racing for Hall’s Racing,” said Hart.

“I love racing in the UK, and it’s great to be racing on the best circuits in the country. It’s very clear that the championship has moved on massively since I last competed here, however, as a driver, I have also made big strides in my career, and I’m confident ahead of my return.

“It’s a great honour to be representing JAS and Honda in the latest stage of my career, and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with the Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR.

“During my time away, I’ve added some great achievements to my CV but also done a lot of travelling, so it will be a bit easier this year as I compete in the UK and Europe.

“My goal for 2026 is clear: go out and win the TCR UK Drivers Title.”

Championship Manager Jack Finlan welcomed Hart back to the series for 2026.

“I’m always delighted to welcome back old friends to the championship, and it’s with great pleasure to see Max make his return for 2026,” added Finlan.

“Having begin his TCR career in the UK, Max has raced in some of the biggest series around the globe, including topping the podium at Macau and racing in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, a CV that speaks for itself.

“The TCR Concept shows that drivers can start in their national series and make their way up to World level, and Max has been one of the many drivers out of the UK to follow this path.

“Armed with the Honda Civic this year, he has the chance to add further silverware to his cabinet. 2026 is looking to be the most exciting year yet for TCR UK.”
