Guilherme Reischl will return to the TCR South America series, whilst Gabriel Romano will make his début, as the field heads to Cascavel for the second event of the year this weekend.
Reischl was a regular in the championship from 2022 to 2024, although the Brazilian never completed a full season. He will return to the grid for this weekend’s event in a second-generation Audi RS3 LMS TCR run by Cobra Racing, marking his first TCR race since the 2025 season finale at Interlagos.
Reischl has made 33 starts out of 35 appearances in TCR South America, with his best result of third coming in the 2024 Interlagos endurance race when he shared his CUPRA with Guilherme Salas.
Also joining the grid this weekend will be Romano. The 18-year-old will join Porthack Racing to campaign a Honda Civic Type-R FK7.
The Brazilian started his career in karting, and is now moving up to touring car racing, teaming up with Enzo Falquete in one of the team’s two Hondas.
The São Paulo youngster will be eligible for the Junior Cup, which is open to drivers under the age of 25 years old and who have fewer than six TCR entries to their name.
The track action in Cascavel gets underway on Friday 27th March with practice.
