Max Hall switches to TCR UK for Snetterton

Max Hall will join the TCR UK field for the next round at Snetterton in September, racing a Lynk & Co 03 car for Ben Sharpe Racing.

Hall, 18, started the season racing a CUPRA Leon in the British Touring Car Championship with Un-Limited Motorsport.

However, he withdrew from the BTCC at the halfway stage of the season, having scored a best result of 13th in the season opener and one Independents class podium.

Hall will still continue to race touring cars in 2025, however, as the 2022 Junior Saloon Car Champion joins the TCR UK series in Norfolk. Hall has already been able to sample the car in a test earlier in the summer.

In 2024 Hall competed in the MINI Challenge, finishing as the overall runner-up, before moving into the BTCC in 2025.

“I’m very excited to announce my début in TCR UK, for the Snetterton weekend,” said Hall, who made his car racing début in the 2021 Ginetta Junior Championship. “I’m looking forward to putting the Lynk & Co through its paces and showing what I can do in a Front Wheel Drive touring car on a competitive grid.

“The test day went very well, where I got to work with Ben Sharpe and his team, as well as getting laps in the car. I left the test feeling very confident about what I can do. I always aim to go for the win when I’m racing, so I’ll be all out for podium finishes at least at Snetterton.”

Ben Sharpe, Team Owner of Ben Sharpe Racing, says the team will be on the grid for the remaining TCR UK rounds.

“We’ve been working hard in the background on the Lynk & Co, and with Max’s first outing, we really hit the ground running, showing some very respectable pace,” said Sharpe.

“The car is quick, and together we’re confident we can come in and cause a few surprises in the remaining rounds of the season.”
