The Barcelona-based RC2 Junior Team will enter three cars for the third event of the 2022 TCR Europe season, running cars for Felipe and Rubén Fernández and Sergio López.
All three drivers previously took part in at least one event of the 2021 TCR Europe season, with López actually participating in both the events at Monza and Barcelona.
Rubén Fernández scored their best result last year, finishing 12th in the first race at Monza.
In 2022 all three are focussing their efforts on a full-season campaign in TCR Italy, with Rubén, racing a new-generation Audi, having already won a race at Imola – although a recent double non-start at the following round has dented his title chances.
At Spa, as in TCR Italy, Felipe Fernández and Sergio López will race CUPRA Leon Competición cars, whilst Rubén Fernández will again be behind the wheel of an Audi RS3 LMS II TCR.
Also entering at Spa is Burton Racing, which will field a Peugeot 308 TCR for local racer Caren Burton, who has previously contested the 2019 TCR Spa 500 endurance event.
The 40-year-old has extensive experience in rallying, including the Ypres and Westhoek events locally.
