TCR raises cost cap and publishes Balance of Performance for 2022

WSC, the global TCR rights holder, has published the latest Balance of Performance [BoP] measures for the 2022 season, whilst also raising the cost cap for all cars.

The cost cap has been raised from €137,500 to €139,000 for a complete, ready-to-use TCR car, including all mandatory sensors for the Scrutineering Data Logging System.

The BoP has also seen a minor change. The ride height of the new 2021-spec Audi RS3 LMS TCR has been raised from 60 mm (previously the lowest level allocated) to 70 mm, in line with recent successes achieved by the car, including Jay Hanson having won twice in the 2022 TCR Australia season thus far (pictured).

The changes were communicated in a Technical Bulletin on 23 March. No further changes were made to the BoP measures, which had last been updated on 29 October 2021.
