Dušan Borković hoping for Monza podium after ‘exciting and rough’ race two in Germany

Dušan Borković admitted he was frustrated by the driving of some of his rivals in the second TCR Europe race in Germany, but has vowed to come back stronger at the next event in Monza.

A tough weekend for Borković saw him walk away with two top 10 finishes, but the Serbian driver believed he could have had a stronger finish especially in Sunday’s race two of the weekend.

“It was an exciting and a rough race two here at Nürburgring,” said Borković.

“I lost a lot of positions at the beginning, but I also got hit hard by someone because of which several cars pasted me.

“I managed to make up for all that and get into top ten. This was a rough race but exciting, there was a lot of hitting and cutting the track by my colleagues.”

After starting both races from 11th on the grid, Saturday’s race one saw the Serbian driver finish the race in eighth before taking home a ninth place finish on Sunday afternoon in race two.

I look forward to the next race and I sincerely hope for the podium in Monza,” added the ComToYou Racing driver following the even in Germany.

“I want to thank my ComToYou team for the continuous hard work and dedication. Also, big thanks to all my sponsors but especially to my fans that give me the most energy to compete and represent Serbia in the best light.”

The result means Borković now sits tenth in the Drivers Standings with two weekends of the season remaining.
