Portuguese racer Gustavo Moura will return to the TCR Europe series for the season finale in Barcelona later this year, driving a Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
Moura has previously taken part in two TCR Europe events, at Circuit Paul Ricard in 2018 and at Barcelona in 2019, on both occasions racing an Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
The 42-year-old is currently racing in the TCR Ibérico Endurance series in the Hyundai, which is run by GC24 Motorsport.
He scored a double victory in the season opener at Jarama and is currently second overall in the drivers’ standings, 18 points behind Daniel Teixeira.
To-date Moura has only finished one of the four TCR Europe races he has entered, ending 25th in Barcelona race one in 2019.
“Barcelona is a track I know well,” said Moura, “but in my previous appearances in TCR Europe I had problems with the car.
“This year I will be looking forward to discover how we rank compared to the drivers who regularly compete in the European championship.”
The TCR Europe season finale is scheduled to take place on 8 – 10 October.
