Danish youngster Gustav Birch will take part in the next round of the TCR Europe series at Zandvoort in The Netherlands later this month, when he will race a Peugeot 308.
Birch’s car will be run by the Denmark-based Brianmadsen Sport outfit. Birch, who turns 18 in July, has a background in kart racing prior to switching to car racing in 2019.
His first foray into car racing was in the Danish Special Saloon Car series, where he competed in 2019 and 2020.
Last year, he finished sixth overall in the ‘extreme’ class at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 car. He also competed in the Danish Endurance Series, where he ended the year as runner-up in Division 4.
Birch’s programme in 2021 will focus on the TCR Denmark series with Brian Madsen’s team, where he is competing with team-mates Casper Elgaard and Johnny Vejlebo for Peugeot Sport Denmark.
