Gordon Shedden excluded from Snetterton qualifying

Team Dynamics’ Gordon Shedden has lost his pole position for the opening British Touring Car Championship race at Snetterton, following a technical infringement.

Shedden had originally beaten Turkington to pole position to secure his first pole since 2016, but the Scot’s Honda Civic later failed the post-qualifying technical checks.

The exclusion promotes BMW’s Colin Turkington to pole, with Shedden now facing the prospect of starting the first race on Sunday from the back of the grid alongside Gylnn Geddie, who failed to post a time.
