The Macedonian PSS Racing Team has confirmed that it is expanding to two cars for the 2021 TCR Europe campaign, with Argentine racer Franco Girolami joining Viktor Davidovsky in the squad.
Last year the team ran a single Honda Civic Type-R which was shared between Davidovsky and Néstor Girolami at Le Castellet and Monza, whilst Franco Girolami joined in a second car alongside Davidovsky in the season finale in Jarama.
Davidovsky had originally been supposed to drive the whole season, but travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic meant that he could only get to one round at Monza in the end.
Franco Girolami, 29, also raced in the first two events of TCR Italy at Mugello and Misano last year, finishing second in race two at Mugello.
He then followed in his brother Néstor’s footsteps by racing for PSS in the Jarama season finale of TCR Europe.
Néstor Girolami will act as a mentor for the team in the forthcoming season.
The team will continue its collaboration with Honda and JAS Motorsport in 2021.
