Further BTCC calendar tweak sees early-season changes

TOCA has changed the calendar for the 2021 British Touring Car Championship for a second time, moving the dates of the second and third events of the year at Snetterton and Brands Hatch.

In response to the UK government’s roadmap for the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, TOCA has elected to push back the second and third events of the season.

The season opener will remain at Thruxton on 8 – 9 May, with the event also still being held behind closed doors.

The second event at Snetterton will take place on 12 – 13 June, four weeks later than originally scheduled, whilst the third event at Brands Hatch will take place on 26 – 27 June, two weeks later than originally scheduled.

It is hoped that the changes mean spectators will be able to attend, in line with the government’s hope that all substantial spectator restrictions will have been lifted by then.

No further changes have been made to the calendar for the rest of the dates and venues.
