Both Tiago Monteiro and Attila Tassi have been handed time penalties after contact with Jack Young in the second FIA World Touring Car Cup race at Zolder, dropping them to the final classifications in the result.
Münnich Motorsport’s Monteiro and Tassi were battling with Vuković Motorsport’s Young for the final points positions when both made contact with the Northern Irishman.
Monteiro was first to pass, albeit with contact for which he was later handed a post-race ten second penalty, dropping him to 19th and losing him the one point he had earned.
Tassi, however, was given a post-race 30-second penalty, in lieu of a drive-through, because he made the contact with Young which turned his Renault into the gravel and out of the race, also causing the race to end behind the safety car.
