Eurotech Racing will not compete in the British Touring Car Championship in 2019, as it has today confirmed it has sold its pair of Honda Civic Type Rs and TOCA BTCC Licences (TBLs).
The outfit has sold the machinery and licences to another squad, who will make an annoucement in due course.
Jeff Smith, former driver and Team Principal of the Eurotech Racing team, said: “I am incredibly proud of our team and what we have achieved and this has been a very difficult decision to have to come to, but we have been left with no choice, unfortunately.
“One of our major sponsors, ICD, is currently unable to continue with the level of support they have been contributing.
“I would like to personally thank all of our team and drivers for their hard work, and our sponsors, technical partners and fans for their support throughout the past four seasons.”
Smith, who has been seen in the TCR UK paddock this season, did not comment on whether an entry into the series was of interest.
