Reigning champion Ash Sutton undergoing engine change before qualifying

Reigning British Touring Car Champion Ash Sutton is having an engine change ahead of qualifying at Donington Park.

Team BMR have elected to change the unit inside Sutton’s Subaru Levorg, with over an hour until the session begins at 15:20.

TouringCars.net understands this weekend marks the first time all three machines have run the new-for-2018, Swindon-built Boxer engine.

It is understood only one unit was used during the triple-header at Brands Hatch three weeks ago.

Sutton’s car proved quickest of the trio in both practice sessions at the East Midlands circuit, with neither Josh Price nor Jason Plato able to make an impression upon the top fifteen.
