Zengő Motorsport have confirmed Zsolt Szabó as their second driver for this year’s FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), with the young Hungarian partnering Norbert Nagy in the team’s CUPRA TCR cars.
The 22-year-old took part in both the FIA European Touring Car Cup (ETCC) and the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2017, switching to the latter for the second half of the season when Zengő Motorsport’s original signing Aurélien Panis left the team.
The signing confirms Zengő’s commitment to young drivers, with Szabó partnering fellow Hungarian youngster Nagy, 23, in the team.
