Eurotech Racing re-brand after securing WIX Filters backing

Eurotech Racing will officially re-brand as ‘WIX Racing with Eurotech’ for the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season after agreeing a title sponsorship deal with WIX Filters.

The partnership continues WIX Filters’ relationship with the UK’s headline tin-top category, having previously provided backing to Rob Austin’s NGTC Audi A4 in 2013, and to Adam Morgan’s Mercedes A-Class between 2014-16.

Both Honda Civic Type-R machines have been sprayed a distinctive black and yellow ahead of the new campaign, with Matt Simpson to run his car under the Simpson Racing banner he has used since making his debut in 2016.

WIX have also agreed to continue their financial support of Morgan’s family-run Ciceley Motorsport outfit, albeit on a smaller scale, whilst simultaneously pulling out of their British Superbike commitments.

“I am over the moon to be working with WIX in the 2018 BTCC season,” commented WIX Racing driver Jack Goff.

“They have an amazing heritage in the world of motorsport and I can’t wait to be the next person to represent them on and off track. It’s fair to say the cars look stunning as is always the case with the WIX Racing cars.”

“We are very much looking forward to starting a new era with Eurotech and intrigued to see what this season brings, especially with the newly confirmed deal using Honda engines” said WIX Filters managing director, Dave Warren.

“It is a privilege to be working with such a big motorsport name as WIX, and we are looking forward to rewarding them with some major silverware” underlined Eurotech Team Principal, Jeff Smith.

The Midlands-based outfit are expected to begin their pre-season testing programme in Spain before the end of the month, before revealing their cars livery in the flesh at the official Season Launch at Donington Park on March 27th, 2018.
