James Nash will return to the British Touring Car Championship this season after being unveiled alongside Chris Smiley at BTC Norlin Racing.
Nash, who has a solitary race victory at Rockingham in 2011 and a further 11 podium finishes on his BTCC record, will pilot the team’s newly-acquired Honda Civic Type R from Team Dynamics.
The 32-year old has been a mainstay of international touring car racing in recent years, contesting two seasons of the World Touring Car Championship and narrowly missing out on the 2016 TCR International Series title with Craft-Bamboo Racing.
His resume also includes forays into GT racing with both the Blancpain Sprint Series and the British GT Championship.
“I’m delighted to be joining BTC Norlin Racing, we’ve been looking at opportunities over the winter and Norlin made an offer we couldn’t refuse,” said Nash.
“The Honda Civic has proved to be one of the cars to beat so I’m confident of being competitive from the get-go.”
“We are really excited for our prospects in the 2018 season and now have two young drivers and cars that are capable of challenging for podium places at each round,” added Team Director, Bert Taylor.
“James has the character and determination to win and we are thrilled to welcome him to BTC Norlin Racing.”
